T Stands for

Twice as Much of Everything

Hello Everyone,

I hope this finds you well and enjoying the start of a new week and a new month.

I am here today to share my T on Tuesday with Elizabeth and the T gang on Altered Book Lover, my Fruit themed tag for Tag Tuesday and the first two ICADs completed by me and Wee Man.

On Saturday, a new Community Cafe in town opened it's doors officially and my friend and I thought it only polite and proper to go and sample their wares. Just so we could report back to everyone else you understand. Very public minded of us don't you think? Hehehe

The Cafe was founded by a lovely gentleman called Ray who ensured it was pushed along and got lots of volunteers from builders merchants to bakers, to rally round to make it happen.
If you click on the image to enlarge it, you should be able to read it.
A banner on the High Street.

The place has a variety of seating from bar stools, to soft seating in a quiet corner and the usual wooden chairs and tables that can be rearranged to suit.
I like the wooden fork shaped table numbers and that it is table service here.
The place was simply decorated.
This is where the soft seating is but there was a family seated there. The young lady with the blue top is a volunteer.
The menu was quite varied
And I like that they have a children's section with stuff wee Man will enjoy

Meanwhile, I chose a cheese, onion and tomato sandwich on wholemeal bread. My friend had a baguette with the same filling. They both came with a wee side salad and crisps. and we had Lattes to drink.
Can you tell I nearly forgot to take photographs, lol
And of course we had to try some cake. I think I got the better deal here, hehe.
All in all a very tasty lunch. I hope the community gets behind this Community Cafe and make it a success for everyone.
Now, I wonder what the other T ladies have been up to this week. Hope to see you over there.

The theme at Tag Tuesday this week is Fruit
Here is the tag I created
I've had the background created for weeks, just sitting in the drawer and when I decided to try to draw a pineapple, I thought the patterns and colour were just right. I drew the pineapple with help from YouTube and used a Copic Multiliner pen. If you would like to see what other fruity tags my friends have created, then just click on the link above.

Wee Man and I are joining in with over 1300 other people doing the 5th Annual Index Card A Day challenge and here are our first two cards.
For day one, Wee Man did a self portrait, using wax crayons, on a spotty card and I followed the optional prompts and created a slightly doodled chevron pattern using promarkers and a black pen.

For day two, Wee Man made some patterns with Gelatos and a bit of water.
Here he is 'in the process'
And here is his card
and I used the prompts again and created a colourful Carnival card using various Sakura Jelly pens.
Looking forward to sharing some new Anti Journal pages with you tomorrow and my June page for The Craft Barn's Calendar Challenge

Until then, bye for now and thanks for stopping by.
Stay well.
And be Happy.
{{Hugs}} :o)) Mo & Wee Man of Course

  1. First off- how splendid that you and wee man are an art team joining in some challenge art-it's something that will live on forever in his memory! Fab pineapple tag which now has me thinking I need to pick one up:) looks like a lovely place to lunch- I know I would love the sandwich you chose. The dessert would go to my hubby though. Happy T day and enjoy the ICAD challenge!

  2. Wow, you are already on Day 2 of ICADs and I just posted Day 1's. Really enjoyed yours, although I'm like Wee Man and not following the prompts. Both yours and his look wonderful. I'm really impressed.

Speaking of impressed! Wow, that new Community Cafe looks wonderful. It's great that they were able to get volunteers, too. Of course, I liked the simplicity of the place. You don't need a fancy atmosphere to make great food and do good deeds. I'm truly impressed.

Thanks for sharing this time out and about in this new cafe that helps others. Thanks also for sharing your pineapple tag and your and Wee Man's ICADs for T this Tuesday or soon to be Tuesday.

  13. The community cafe is a wonderful idea and looks like the food is delicious. I hope they are really successful!

I didn't remember to join ICAD this year. I think everyday is a bit too stressful for me right now. I am doing SOC though because once a week I can handle.
