Sketch into Spring ~ 12 & #13 Play with Lines & Shapes

Doodles.  Who doesn't love to doodle?!  But Alisa's idea for giving us these prompts is that she feels, 'having a good understanding and appreciation of lines will make you better at drawing'  Well I'll take, and need, any, and all the help I can get!  Haha.  She also says, 'Lines and shapes go together like peanut butter and jelly' - 'most drawings are simply shapes filled with lines'.  I had a lot of fun creating shapes & lines and just let my pen do the work.

I think my favourite from these two pages is the triangle and rectangle line.

Well, until next time............
...........thanks for popping by to say 'Hi' *hugs*

  1. Both lines and shapes are good ways to fill a background, doodles are just collections of these.

Love both pages, you are great at both! I am trying to doodle but still quite bad at it. Keep playing! :-) xxx

  2. You are obviously enjoying Alisa's class, she is great isn't she. I have taken quite a few of her classes and have signed up for the latest one on flowers which starts later this month.

    1. Thank you Neesie :) I always remember my math teacher saying, 'the quickest route between two points is a straight line'. I can't now remember what he was referring to, but it's always stuck in the leetle grey cells and I thought of it whilst doing these; but I thought, 'yeah but squiggles and curls are way more fun' haha. I'm so glad you came over and it is definitely way better than never, hehe. Enjoy your week too Neesie :o) x

  5. I had never really thought of 'having a good understanding and appreciation of lines will make you better at drawing' before, but probably because I am hopeless at drawing! I love this journey you are taking Mo, I think I will be learning along with you at this rate. Love your doodles! Hugs, Anne xx

  8. I love your doodling! One of my favorite ones is of your pears I was inspired by, remember those? I can't even imagine if all my doodling was lined up end to end how far it would reach. When I was a kid my mom would tell me not to waste so much paper. We know that fell on deaf ears! ;D
