Doodles. Who doesn't love to doodle?! But
Alisa's idea for giving us these prompts is that she feels, '
having a good understanding and appreciation of lines will make
you better at drawing' Well I'll take,
and need, any, and all the help I can get! Haha. She also says, '
Lines and shapes go together like peanut butter
and jelly' - 'most drawings are
simply shapes filled with lines'. I had a lot of fun creating shapes & lines and just let my pen do the work.
I think my favourite from these two pages is the triangle and rectangle line.
Well, until next time............
...........thanks for popping by to say 'Hi' *hugs*
Both lines and shapes are good ways to fill a background, doodles are just collections of these.
ReplyDeleteLove both pages, you are great at both! I am trying to doodle but still quite bad at it. Keep playing! :-) xxx
Thanks very much MOH, I really appreciate that. Everything is just a case of practice don't you agree. :o)
DeleteYou are obviously enjoying Alisa's class, she is great isn't she. I have taken quite a few of her classes and have signed up for the latest one on flowers which starts later this month.
ReplyDeleteI love what Alisa does, in whatever way she does it. I was thinking of doing the flower one too, but I'm not sure yet - decisions decisions.
DeleteThanks for coming over :o)
Great doodles. I'm not very good at doodling. I run out of ideas.
ReplyDeleteOh, I think you'd be great at doodling Carol, you have an amazing imagination and a great eye for detail.
DeleteI'm so glad you like what I did, thank you. :o)
Now this is my kinda thing. Not sure why I've not found you hear before but better late than never eh?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing how this develops.
Have a wonderful week where ever your lines take you ;D
xoxo
Thank you Neesie :) I always remember my math teacher saying, 'the quickest route between two points is a straight line'. I can't now remember what he was referring to, but it's always stuck in the leetle grey cells and I thought of it whilst doing these; but I thought, 'yeah but squiggles and curls are way more fun' haha. I'm so glad you came over and it is definitely way better than never, hehe. Enjoy your week too Neesie :o) x
DeleteI had never really thought of 'having a good understanding and appreciation of lines will make you better at drawing' before, but probably because I am hopeless at drawing! I love this journey you are taking Mo, I think I will be learning along with you at this rate. Love your doodles! Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Anne! I'm no 'drawer' either but I am having fun with this class and would love to see any things you may want to try :o) xx
DeleteLove your lines. I'm thinking I may need to take this class.
ReplyDeleteThank you Boo. It is enjoyable and there's a new class based on flowers starting later this month. I can't decide whether to join that one yet :-)
DeleteI agree with Anne I'm enjoying your journey too. Your teacher talks a lot of sense. My favourite page is the shapes. I especially like the bottom half. Well done, I'm looking forward to the next part.
ReplyDeleteLynn xxx
Thank you so much Lynn. The next one will be posted later today. :o) xx
DeleteI love your doodling! One of my favorite ones is of your pears I was inspired by, remember those? I can't even imagine if all my doodling was lined up end to end how far it would reach. When I was a kid my mom would tell me not to waste so much paper. We know that fell on deaf ears! ;D
