I got the main images from a vintage site, I can't remember where I'm afraid, and the background is a mix of a page from a vintage book and a napkin. The 'tie' is a clothes hanger style paperclip and I edged the tag with Milled Lavender distress ink.
I have used removable tape on the doll and her clothes in case I wish to take them off to play ;)
Here are some pictures of the doll trying to decide what to wear for the day. You can click on the images for a closer look :o)
This?
This?
Or this?
I think I like the pink dress best.

..........thanks for popping by to say 'Hi' *hugs*
McCall's magazine had a paper doll in every issue with I was a child. My grandmother and I would cut them out and play with them. The doll's name was Betsy. I vote for the yellow outfit.
ReplyDeleteBetsy; what a lovely name and what a lovely pastime to share with your grandmother Boo. :o)
DeleteLove this. Brings back childhood memories of paper dolls. When I was a bit older my favourite was the Jackie. I had all the double page spread posters on my wall of David Cassidy. Do your remember him?
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I'd forgotten about Jackie. And Blue Jeans, did you get that too? :D And I certainly do remember David Cassidy, Carol. He was my favourite, where the Osmonds were my sisters. I liked them too of course (who didn't), but couldn't tell my sister that, haha. Thanks for coming by :o) x
DeleteHaha looks to me like you have allowed your inner child to come out playing dressing up like that. What a fabulous tag. The pink one is my favourite too x x x
ReplyDeleteThank you Lynn. I'm so chuffed, it was my first idea for this theme. Did you do paper dolls too? :o) xx
DeleteHi Mo, this is so clever! It took me right back to the days when I too, played with paper dolls, what fun that was! I love all the outfits too. Hugs, Anne xx
