This past Saturday I took one of my sons out for some shopping and lunch. He doesn't get out very often as he has ME and we don't have our own transport. However, this weekend my good friend was out of town and left her car with me for us to use. Yippeee, *happy skippy dancing* was abound! (by yours truly only I hasten to add) hehe
Anyhoo, back to Saturday; we ended up in a garden centre that is renowned in these here parts for it's fabulous restaurant. Not overpriced or highfalutin, (it is only a garden centre), but still, with freshly made food using locally sourced produce at reasonable prices. We chose to end our day there for lunch.
Well it was mid-afternoon but who's clock watching?! After all, my stomach only thought my throat had been cut! Haha
It's a very large centre.
Yes, there is a beautiful piano in the restaurant.
The view from where we sat was cute and expansive.
The coffee was just right and the blueberry scone, deliciously moist.
And look who turned up while we ate.
I've never sat in a garden centre cafe/restaurant that had Live music before. And he was quite good too; well I recognised all the Elton John tunes he played anyway, hehe.
A last few images - I promise - related to my last Tea post, and my ManaTea. Jinxxxygirl asked how it works, so I took some pics.
Deee-Lish!
Happy T Day everyone.
Until next time..................

DeleteWhat a totally AWESOME place. And the view was quite lovely, too. Of course, you hooked me when I saw the very first photo, with all those lovely shrubs and columns.
ReplyDeleteLooks like that was a very popular place. Lots of people in that photo. And of course, the entertainment was an added bonus, I'm sure. BTW, I've seen the real Elton John in concert back in the late 80s. It was even a FREE concert. How lucky was that?
Thanks for sharing your day out and about with us for T this week. And thanks for showing how the ManaTea works, too.

ReplyDeleteAnyway I'll keep this one brief... loved our trip to the Garden Centre. I'm banned from visit these days because I can't help myself. I need a truck or van when I go because I just can't resist. Plants, trees, plants and all other gardening stuffs!
I'd probably have even tried to bring home that piano too!
It's lovely that you had some quality time out with your son.
It looks a great place to visit.
Enjoy your day and hopefully you're not in the mist like me down here.
(pressing the button and hoping that this one will work)
