A Tag for a Dance

A'Rubber Dance' to be exact ;) Rubber Dance Art Stamps are holding their first Monthly Colour Challenge. And the owner of Rubber Dance Art Stamps, Bibi, is generously giving away some of her beautiful stamps as the prize! Woohooo! Thanks Bibi :D

But to be in with a chance of winning such an awesome prize, then we have to create something - anything - but we must use the set palette, which this month is the classic Autumnal colours, warm golds, oranges and reds. Yum!

I have a number of Bibi's deep etched, red rubber stamps and would love to increase my stash, (who wouldn't?)!  So without further twaddle, here is my first entry to the challenge.

A tag.

And a close-up.

I used two different stencils and dabbed red and yellow paints through them for the background. Then I used a leaf stencil and an orange paint, over which I rubbed red oil pastel and antique gold rubbing wax, (such a shame the glimmer doesn't show up here).

I stamped #CE1-2E Bohemian Woman, and embossed her using a gold glitter powder to make her twinkle. (like me, hehe)

Fianlly I added a quote and coloured my ribbon using the same paints as on the tag. If you click on this Rubber Dance link then you will be able to read all about the rules for the challenge and see some amazing examples by Bibi's design team. I hope to see you there, and good luck if you decide to take part.
Closing date for entries:
Midnight September 30th, Central European Time (= GMT+1 or EST + 6)

I'm also linking this tag to Tag Tuesday's ' Stencils'.

Until next time.....
.........thanks for popping by to say ' Hi' (( hugs)) :0) x

  1. Stunning first entry. I hope you win.

It's true that glitter and shimmer never shows up in a scan or photo. We always just have to realize the sparkle is there.

  6. Lovely warm tag, cheerful in this misty weather. Your embossed lady looks terrific, I haven't tried embossing yet, it's still a mystery.

  10. Hey Mo, thanks for your lovely comment on my studio. However, you were a bit off on your count of the rocking horses. In the photo where I show what I called "mail central," there are 7 in that photo alone. 1 hanging on the wall, three on the desk, and 3 in the window. They are everywhere in my house (grin). There are some that are hard to find, but I can truthfully say I have over 450, even if some of them are small, like on the old child's block that sits on my VCR.
