A second post, hot on the heels of my journal page, but it's time for Tea on Tuesday with our hostess Elizabeth, from Altered Book Lover, and the other nice folks posting their tea talk too, (hehe).
I got a really fun gift a few days ago. Want to see it?
It's Fred the ManaTEA! Haha! :D Isn't he cute?! I already had the mini mug, but I had to show him off, in-situ didn't I?!
He was bought for me, so that I could better enjoy this >>>>>
My very favourite drink of tea! I am allergic to oranges (it gives me migraines), so I have always avoided drinking Lady Grey because of it's citrus undertones. But I managed to get a tester bag, and I was fine, and I discovered my love for it. YaaY!!
I may get me a nice teapot one day. Just for me. Well there's only I would use it, in a house of men. ;)
I also enjoy other teas including fruit mixes and Nettle & Spearmint in the evening.
If you would like to join Elizabeth's T-Team, please follow this link and post about your favourite beverage; we'd love to read about it.
Until next time............
...........thanks for popping by to say 'Hi' ((hugs)) :o) x
Fred is SO cute and I laughed when I read he was a ManaTEA. Fun and funny.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried that tea, but I love any loose leaf tea. This looks beautiful. I'll have to see if they have it here. At least I know they sell Twinings in the US, so this might actually be easy to find.
I don't own a teapot, except the one that has no lid. Hard to allow water to steep that way. I think Bleubeard ate the lid. NO, seriously, I bought it at a thrift store and they sold it for half price, which was still expensive for me. So, I wish you luck finding a good one you like.
Thanks for sharing your new mug, providing me with a laugh, and sharing your new tea, too for T this Tuesday.
I hope you do get to try some Lady Grey. It is my favourite. I will keep looking out for a teapot I can love but in the tween time I have my eye on another 'Fred' infuser, hehe.
DeleteI would probably sweeten the chocolate mint tea a little, but perhaps with honey. I have a sweet tooth, and can't drink any tea or coffee without sweetening first. Especially some of the herbal ones, i find many of them quite bitter. :D Thanks for your lovely words as always :D
Just saw your question. I didn't sweeten the tea, but think I should have because it needed something. The tea tasted OK, but wasn't as chocolatey as I would have expected. Some chocolate taste, but definitely a minty taste. Not strong mint like spearmint, though.
ReplyDeleteooh I have never seen lady grey in the raw. I must hunt some down. They only come in tea bags here. Love the tin
ReplyDeleteBridget #3
Thank you Bridget. You should be able to buy Lady Grey leaves online :D
DeleteI've never heard of Lady grey, and I love Earl Grey- the smokey flavor!
ReplyDeleteFred! what will they think of next- and this crew is sure to discover and share it!
Thank you Robyn. I hope you get to try it one day. You will love it too :D

ReplyDeleteThank you Dawn. I hope the kiddos settle back to the school routine fairly soon. Then it will be holiday time again! Haha :D
DeleteHappy T day to you! I adore your manatee.I've always wanted to swim with them and perhaps one day I will:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda :D I hope you do too :D
DeleteThank you for making me hungry, lol. your food looks amazing :D
So what does the mana tea do exactly??? Wish i could see the rest of him......do you put the tea inside him somehow?? Either way he's cute! Happy T day! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment on my post - the Manatea, made from silicon, splits in the middle and the tea leaves go in the tail end. Hot water is poured on and the tea infuses through little holes around the body. I will try to remember to take some photo's for you, the next time I use it :D
DeleteYour new pal Fred really makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteThere is something extra nice about pouring tea from a teapot isn't there.
Know you'll enjoy that lovely T
Happy T Day
oxo
I'm happy that you like my 'Fred' :D I have my eye on several others too :) Different to a teapot, but a little more fun with less clearing up ;)
DeleteYour journal pages are beautiful and your glass is mesmerising :D
That is the cutest infuser I've ever seen! Happy Tea Day. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Denise. I agree with you ;-)
DeleteOh my gosh....he is adorable!!! That tea looks awesome as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you - he is cute ;)
DeleteI have seen the ManaTEA and other similar Tea-like creatures frmo the Fred company too and always thought they looked like so much fun. But, who to buy them for is the question? Any T(ea) for Tuesday blogger is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you :D There are several other 'Fred's I have my eye on. I really liked your white board. Lots of fun to be had with that ;)
DeleteYour ManaTEA is fantastic lol! Love Lady Grey tea, it is always refreshing. Unfortunately it started to make me feel quite poorly as any kind of tea does. Sticking to my coffee :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like the Manatea, he is fun to see. Shame you can't drink tea. It's probably the tannin in it. At least you have your coffee to enjoy (hugs)
DeleteThe manatea is cute as can be.
ReplyDeleteI've never had Lade Grey tea, but keep meaning to try it. I know I'll like it, too :)
Thanks for your comment on my post. I hope you get to try, and like Lady Grey tea :D
DeleteI like those mugs you got to use :D
OMG! He is just so cute!! Or she, I guess. What a fantastic gift! Happy t-Day! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Rita :D
DeleteWonderful gifts-:) Love the 'manatea'
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful week
Susan
Thanks Susan - I hope you have a fab weeked :D
DeleteAh the manatee is so cool! He looks very happy :-P I have a box of lemon tea waiting for me to try but I'm just not sure! I'm not the biggest tea fan full stop :-P
ReplyDeleteAhh, lemon tea - so refreshing. Don't leave it to brew too long and it shouldn't be better and taste nicer on your palette. Give it a go, you have nothing to lose :)
DeleteI love Fred! He's too cute! lol With him in your cup how could you have a bad one. I've had earl grey but not lady grey will have to now. Too bad on the oranges and triggering your migraines, my favorite teas are the orange base ones. On a different note, just checked all the hives today, not much stores this year, so I didn't harvest any, (except that in the spring). All the bee keepers around here this year have had low harvests.
