So without further
Wee Man had an appointment at the Orthotic clinic on Monday and on the way home, much to his delight, we stopped here for lunch >>>
It is an old bus coach. And Wee Man loves buses!
I was too nervous, expecially with it being a fairly cramped area, to take any pictures of the inside, sorry. What do you say to the proprietors when you want to take photo's of their place?
The food was very basic but it was freshly cooked and very tasty and the coffee hit just the right spot. It got a huge thumbs up and beaming smiles from Wee Man anyway. Just a shame it's so far away for regular visits.
Well thank you for looking, and if you'd like to grab a cuppa (or whatever takes your fancy), and share some time with some like minded friends, then please click on the link ^ up top ^.
Until next time...............
..........thanks for popping by to say 'Hi' ((hugs))
Seems it was good to stop there and test this bus and it's meals and drinks...
ReplyDeleteand you made "him" happy too!
Happy T-Day!

Hi :-D Limoncello looks and sounds very nice, I think I may have to try it, but I can be sure it wouldn't bes served in the bus cafe we went to, lol. Many thanks for your visit and kind words on my blog :o)
DeleteDefinitely one of the more unusual places to have a cuppa but it clearly hit the spot! Jenny x
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in Jenny - it was a fun place to go. I wonder what else we may find on another adventure :o) xx
DeleteThis looks like a fun place ... must be if Wee Man loves it! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming over - it certainly was a fun place to go. :-D
DeleteOh Mo, this looks just like the kind of place I would LOVE. Something unique and not a tourist trap. I often don't ask to take photos, but I'm often pointed to things the people in the place think are special. Of course, I usually go to restaurants when it's not very crowded.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining our group this Tuesday. I hope this will become a weekly event for you, especially once you get the "flavor" of our T group. This was the PERFECT first post, too. Loved it, and of course, the bus, too!
Many thanks Elizabeth. I'm so happy we took the chance that it would be a fine place to stop. It even has a facebook page for reviews, so I obliged with a good one from all of us.
DeleteI hope to be able to join you for tea on a regular basis. After all, we all have to drink don't we :o))
Welcome! That is so great that you are raising your dear, wee grandson. My times with my son when he was little are my best memories. Being a brand new grandma--I am hoping my time with Ian will be just as wonderful. Having lunch in an old bus sounds like a true adventure! I hope you get to repeat it again one day. Happy T-Day!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the welcome Rita and many congratulations on becoming a new grandma. I saw a quote that said, 'Grandchildren are Gods way of compensating us for growing old' Haha - I love that and I can guarantee your time with Ian will be even more wonderful.
DeleteWe love to have adventures and always try for as many as possible in the school holidays.I have a thermal cup too, it's perfect on cooler days when we go to the playground just across the road so Wee Man can ride his bicycle.
The images of Ian watching his reflection are so cute.
Have lots of fun
Thanks for coming to visit :-D
Glad you and the WM had a great day ! Valerie
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Valerie :o) x
DeleteWhat an unusual place! I love it though! I once saw an old ice-cream van that had been renovated to serve diner food! If I want to take photos inside and i'm not sure if I can I usually pretend to take a photo of a person and get background shots :-P
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet words. How fab it would be if there were unusual cafe type vehicles everywhere. My Wee Man would be so happy, lol. (me too).
DeleteI love your knitted zebra :o)
I love the title...anything that involves Tea catches my attention ;D
ReplyDeleteThat's certainly quite a journey to make... so no wonder you needed sustenance and I agree with wee man... the bus is brilliant. I've not seen the 'Pitstop' but if I travel up that way then I'll certainly keep an eye out for it and obviously I would need to check out their wares.
By the way whenever I want to take photo's I come right out and ask permission. I've never been refused yet so just smile and wave (the camera) and I'm sure you'll be successful too.
Have a great day. We're a little showery today so I'm using the time to catch up indoors.
xoxo
Thank you Denise, I think it would be wonderful if you got to visit the Pitstop and you knew excatly what we are talking about, lol.
DeleteThank you too, for the advice on taking pictures. I shall try to pluck up the nerve (cluck cluck cluck) :-D lol
We had showers here too, so we went to a soft play area, but the sun is supposed to popping by tomorrow, so I'll be sure to send her your way too
xox
So happy you decided to join us! I'm looking forward to seeing what you are up to each Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Debbie :) I really hope I can join in on a regular basis :o))
DeleteSo nice to see you for T...
ReplyDeleteI am running late this week but wanted to wish you a Happy Day...
Such a novel use of that bus...sounds tasty and fun.
Wow, what a fabulous experiment and it turned out beautifully too :D
DeleteMany thanks for your kind words on my blog too :D
How cool! I wish I had been there to have lunch with you and wee man.
ReplyDeleteThat would be so fabulous Boo :o)
DeleteHow fabulous Mo, I can totally see why Wee Man would love it - I would too. I have eaten in an old railway coach and a canal barge restaurant but never on a coach/bus. It is certainly unique and what a great talking point to start off on the weekly Tea on Tuesday! Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeletePS - If you go again you could say something like - this is so special and unique would you mind if I take some photos to show my friends on my blog? I bet they would love to have you spread the word! A xx
Hi Anne - Thank you for coming over - how exciting to have dined in an old rail coach and a barge! Wee Man would enjoy that for sure. We dined in an old church a while back, I'll have to find the picture if I don't have anything interesting to show for next week, lol.
DeleteI'm enjoying all the different DT work you are doing just now - but then again, I love everything you do ((hugs)) xx
a very charming little bus...sounds so cool! In the U.S. we tend to just snap away with the camera...most restaurants wouldn't mind. but you are right, this might have been a bit more personal...I bet they would have been pleased to have you take photos--free advertising!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Dianne for your encouraging words. I will make the effort to ask next time I eat out, as you are right - free advertising, lol :o)
DeleteStart off taking Wee Man's picture, then just wing it from there, most places love that you want to take pictures of their special cafe etc. I take pictures of my food all the time and then the place i am eating at, kind of a thing i love to do...
ReplyDeleteFantastic that you managed to go by car and then visit this little place of perfection on the way back, i would love to visit somewhere like this :-) xxx
Thanks MoH - I will try that next time :o)
DeleteWhen you do dine somewhere unusual, mind and let us know :o)
I will try lol:-) xxx
DeleteCongrats on the blog Mo, and Wee Man! I know I'll be "dropping" in to see you two often. I imagine W.M. was over the moon with having a treat with you on a bus. I look forward to more adventures with you both. :) xxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Angela - I'm delighted to have you along (hug) :o) x
DeleteWhat a fun post. Next time you want to take a photo inside a cafe bus, if questions are asked just say very firmly, "it's for my blog" and they'll either know what a blog is and will understand or you'll have to explain and they'll be so bemused and/or puzzled that they won't notice you are taking photos.
ReplyDeleteHaha - thanks Sheila, I may try that ;-)
