However, my pictures were taken on a Tuesday ;) Last Tuesday to be exact. I was on an adventure with my Wee Man to Edinburgh. And if you'd like to read some of what he got up to during our trip and through his Summer Holidays, please go here.
I was so excited to find a lovely little cafe called The Purple Pig, where they serve the most delicious food.
However, it was breakfast we were after, and boy did they deliver!
Freshly made porridge with fresh fruit
and toast made from bread made on the premises :D
Are you drooling yet? I nearly was, haha.
Wee Man had pancakes, which I forgot to photograph before he tucked in. They were freshly made too of course and having persuaded a little sharing, found they were so delicious!
My favourite visual tho', was this.
Isn't it pretty?! And it tasted perfect.
I then took some other photographs around the place.
I resisted these, but with all the intentions of going back to buy some, but it didn't work out that way. *Sigh*
A purple pig stood on a window display.
I liked the triptych on the wall
and I liked this view, (just couldn't get it straight tho').
I love this clock! Wee Man says I can make one, haha. Bless his faith.
School is back in after the Summer holidays, and even tho' I do have a different set of commitments, I should have more me time. So lets play! If you would like to jon in with T stands for Tea on Tuesday, then please do.
But until next time..............
.........thanks for popping by to say 'Hi' ((hugs))
You could definitely make that clock, the mechanism would be the hardest thing to find. If you need shapes you could hand cur them or ask a friend with an electronic die cutting machine to cut you some shapes out.
ReplyDeleteA fantastic set of images from The Purple Pig, food and art looks amazing. Your tea shot is sublime...
Great post, enjoyed seeing everything. Hope Wee Man is enjoying being back in school:-) xxx
Thank you so much for your comment. I will look at perhaps making a clock. I know I can get a mechanism, so.........perhaps.
DeleteWee Man has had a good start to the new year, thank you :-)
Breakfast looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteIt sure was Sue :-)
Deletewhat a cosy restaurant!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
Happy T-Day to you!
Many thanks Susi. I hope to return one day :-D
DeleteWhat a fun place to be! The food looks good -that toast! and what a sweet tea setting :) I got a kick out of the purple pig. Looks like you had a great T Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I was so glad to have found The Purple Pig and feel the world needs more Purple Pigs, starting in my town ;-) haha
DeleteLooks like such a lovely place and that is one fabulous breakfast! I'd bet you could make a clock like the one on the wall too:) Happy T day albeit a day late!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, it is a lovely place to eat. I shall try to be on time next Tuesday ;-)
DeleteI'm so glad that you and wee man joined again this week. It was fun to see your breakfast. That toast looked heavenly and I bet it tasted great, too. Nothing better than homemade bread. Of course, I liked the look of your porridge, too. It looks a bit like oatmeal to me.
ReplyDeleteI loved how you framed the pig in the mirror. I would not have gotten it as straight as you did. And I agree with wee man. You could totally make one of those clocks. Think plastic cutlery, a bit of craft paint, cardboard, heavy duty glue, and a clock mechanism. I bet your mind is reeling right now (grin).
Thanks to you and wee man for joining us again for T this Tuesday. How nice he "shared" his pancakes, too.
Thank you for your comment Elizabeth. When I was taking the pictures Wee Man asked if they were for Tea on Tuesday, as he remembered my taking about it. That boy has an amazing memory, haha.
DeleteThe porridge is oatmeal Elizabeth, just a different name ;-)
I am thinking about making a clock. I like your idea of using plastic cutlery. I've had fun going around to see everyone's T posts :-D
Oh yes! My stomach is really letting me know your pictures are perfectly yummy looking!
ReplyDeleteThe Purple Pig looks like a wonderful place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Thanks for visiting my blog this week, hope we meet again next week.
Many thanks Krisha :D I wish you could taste the goodness through the screen. Wouldn't that be wonderful :D
DeleteThe Purple Pig is well worth a visit. Or two. Or three - times a day! Lol
Hope to see you again soon :D
Yes, everything looked delicious! I have a tea strainer just like that silver one, but not the pretty cup and teapot. ;) Looks like you and wee man had a great time. Love the purple pig!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated T-Day! :)
Thank you Rita, Wee Man and I did have a great time. I hope we can go back there one day :-D
DeleteOh wow Mo, if I ever get to Edinburgh again, I know exactly where I am heading!! Not for the cakes though, ahem, cough, cough... Your pictures are wonderful, I love the pig in the mirror one. Love the look of the porridge and that delightful cup of tea too. What a great place for you and the Wee Man to visit.
ReplyDeleteI bet you could make a clock like that..... Hugs, Anne xx
Many thanks for your comment Anne. I have decided to put clock making on my list. Wee Man will help I'm sure, especially if it means getting his hands n my paints, lol :D
DeleteOf course, you wouldn't visit Purple Pig JUST for the cakes, I know that.......wink, ahem, wink wink....:D ((hugs)) xx
The purple pig sounds like a lovely spot for tea, and yours did look pretty. I will wait along with Wee Man for your clock reveal. ; D
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Angela :D Please don't hold your breath, goodness knows how long it may take me, lol ;)
DeleteOooo! I want to go there! Love the purple pig too.
ReplyDeleteThat cuppa tea looks perfick with proper scottish porridge. I know I have porridge every day but it doesn't taste quite the same down south!
Hugs
xxx
Haha, you made me smile Hettie, with 'proper Scottish porridge' :D
DeleteI hope you get to go there one day too :D
Looks perfectly lovely and delicious and right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to have special time with your sweetie too.
oxo
p.s. I found very thin papers work best for the fusion paper, even scrapbook paper can be too thick.
It remains to be seen what I will create with my pieces of fabric fusion paper.
I like having various ingredients on hand and enjoy trying new and fun things...
just because :-)
Thank you so much Patty, it was a really fun time :D
DeleteAnd thank you for the tips about the fabric paper :D
(hugs)
What a fun post and I'll take tea every day of the week!!! :) xx
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your comment Alexandra :D xox
DeleteHello and Happy T Day a little late. WOW, this post was so fun and yummy! What a pretty tea setting they served you along the yummy food. Thank you for taking the extra pictures, that clock looks so neat and a purple pig is something I've never seen before. My family knows I take all these drink/mug pictures for Elizabeth too, so funny how we talk about her as if she's a family member that visits.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and comment. Happy your laptop is working again. I do understand how life is without one, seems I get more chores and reading done when mine is broke down. I do miss when I can't make my T rounds on Tuesday's though.
Have a great week and thanks again for this post.
Hey Dawn :D Many thanks for your lovely comment on my post. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it all. I thought the wee purple pig was adorable. Not a name I'm likely to forget either, so a very clever marketing choice I think. Have a great week whatever you are doing :D
DeleteThat toast looks incredible. Happy T for Tuesday! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Amy - same wishes back to you :D
DeleteWhat a fun post - Purple Pig sounds like just the ticket for a delish breakfast. And what a delightful clock - can't wait to see your version. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Deborah. I will try :D
