Anti Journal

Stick an Envelope Here.....

.......Gather ephemera to use in your work.

That was the prompt for this page.
The envelope I stuck in was a junk mail one; I wanted to disguise that fact and also cover it's green nakedness with something interesting. I used some glue to stick it down and then added some of my favourite 'Book' washi tape.
Then I began doodling.
A lot. (Sorry Sue, lol)
First I did the flap side

Then the 'name & address' side.
I used my white Signo Uniball and my black Pitt Artist pens.

I also did another page where the prompt was, Let go of something

The hand was already drawn; I did everything else. For the background I put down a layer of gesso and then used my Koh-i-Noor paints and for the balloons and colouring of the hand, I used my Inktense pencils.

Karen and Carolyn have both been busy in their journals too.

Thanks so much for coming over. I'm looking forward to your lovely comments.
{{hugs}} Mo :o) x

I really enjoyed seeing all the doodles you made and how fun it was to see what you made with the hand releasing something. Really, really awesome response to that prompt. I'm really enjoying this journal!

  6. When I see doodles and patterns like these Mo, it always makes me smile because I love to do them myself. I know how relaxing they can be. I never think to do an envelope though 😉

    1. Thank you Denise. I always think of you when I do doodling because your work is so neat and precise and most inspiring. I need to learn some new patterns I think.
The tape is my favourite washi that I found on Etsy. You know, I'm sure it was one of the M3 girls that mentioned it aages ago and I went and bought some - as you do, lol
I saw your message saying your big bird table got blown over - Wow!! Hope there was no damage. It was wild here too; I always worry about Wee Man's trampoline getting damaged. So far, it's safe. Take care Denise {{hugs}} xoxo

  11. Just read your question about the sewing machine. It was my grandmother's and YES, it's still in there. I broke the cord that connects the treadle to the machine, but I found a replacement. Now all I have to do is get up the courage to install it (grin). Thanks for asking and now you know where I get my love of quarter sawn (sometimes called tiger stripe) oak.
