T Stands for -

Tea with Wee Man

Wee Man got a Jelly Fun Slush Maker at Christmas and we have enjoyed making different ones each day, like strawberry, Raspberry and Blackcurrant. Well today's one was apple jelly (jello) topped with raspberry gummies, (jello sweets).

It's good, quick fun, for a wee boy with little patience. And it's also a good job that sharing with my Tea Buddies is only virtual, as he doesn't like to share very much; but how many kiddos do like to share their Christmas goodies ;) (grin)

Here, I have other Tea pictures to share with you; there are six pages and they are from a 1967 Betty Crocker cookbook. I was kindly gifted these by a Facebook friend, Jenny, that Wee Man and I 'met' during ICAD this past year. My new Profile picture is courtesy of Jenny too, on a magazine she sent, because of the image. Thank you Jenny ((hugs)) x

Aren't they fabulous?! I love all the little details, hints & tips, made to make ones tea party, and that of ones guests, most enjoyable. How civilised.

Thank you so much for your visit; I love it when you come by. I hope you will join us at Elizabeth & Bleubeard's for some tea, or the beverage of your choice. I do hope I won't be calling on anybody late at night, but if I do, I promise to tip-toe quietly.

Until next time..........
.............thanks for popping by to say 'Hi' ((hugs)) :o)

  1. Oh those drinks sound awfully sweet to me...love your tea pages. I really enjoy looking through old magazines ( I have some from the 30's and 40's) and reading about the etiquette, advice and recipes along with the prices of things. Happy T day and a very Happy New year!

    1. They aren't too bad Linda, if you like jelly, there is no extra sweetening.
I'd love to get my hands on some old magazines, but they are getting more and more scarce. Probably because artists are hoarding them, lol. Thanks for your visit :D

  2. Oh Mo, these are wonderful pages. It reminds me, I may have some similar pages from recipes my Grandmother had. I inherited all her cook books, but I really LOVE the ones you shared. What a wonderful friend.

And Wee Man's lovely Christmas gift was great for him, I'm sure. Patience is a virtue, but some learn it late in life (grin). Hope he's having fun making these each day. They sound like something he would enjoy.

Thanks for sharing these tea (and coffee) pages with us. I may have to make some of the sandwiches. And thanks for Wee Man sharing his Christmas gift, too, for T this Tuesday.

Have a safe, joyous New Year, dear Mo.

  3. I say! This is some cool tea party (we used to say groovey, is that still in use?) I am so glad I popped by. TT, Wee Man and these 3 cuties in the title really make lovely company! And that Jelly slush looks delicious!! May I have one? With Jellos of course. If Wee Man does not want to share, I take a nice big cup of tea - with milk and sugar. Thank you!
Darlings have a wonderful New Year and of course a nice party!!
    Cheers
    Gabriele

    1. Hehehe - I don't think 'Groovy', is used anymore, but I for one, say 'Cool', a lot! And 'Awesome'. I think they're very expressive comments. And at least a person knows what is meant, as opposed to some of the modern ones, like 'bad' & 'sick' ! Oh dear, I'm showing my age I think, lol. Have a very wonderful New Year Gabriele. One that is filled with love, good health and all things that make you smile :D

  4. I have some very old Betty Crocker cookbooks that were my Mom and G-ma's. I think they are fabulous, like yours, they have many "old fashioned" tips and tricks. Many I wish we still observed today.

Wee-man's drink (?) makes my teeth hurt........LOL How fun to make all different drinks.

Happy New Year to you both, and thank you for all the comments you have left on my blog this year. Here's to an other great T-day year!!

    1. I agree Krisha, it would be nice if some things regressed, instead of progressed, as sadly, sometimes it seems there is little tolerance for etiquette in a world of fast food, and a, me, me, me mentality. However, I hope the new year brings you good health and lots of happiness x

The Wee Man's beverage maker looks like a lot of fun. I bet he'll be able to come up with endless flavor combinations.

Hm, I have a Betty Crocker cookbook f on 1970. I should see whether it has any coffee/tea related pages. Perhaps it shall be a future blog post...

    Have a Happy New Year!!!

  9. Those are fantastic pages from the vintage cookbook. EEK did I just say vintage? I grew up in the 60s and had a BC Children's cookbook.

Wee Man's gift looks like fun but he would not have to share with me since I hate jello!

  14. Well I hate to admit it but I am old enough to remember Betty Crocker cookbooks! I used them when I was trying to learn how to cook, way, way back when.....

Wee Man's Jelly Slush certainly looks interesting and how lovely to make it in different flavours, hopefully he won't get bored too quickly with so many flavours to choose from.

Wishing you and Wee Man all the very best for 2015! Big hugs to you both, Anne xx

  16. Hello again! You inspired me to use my own vintage cookbook in this week's T is for Tuesday post! Thank you.

My cookbook doesn't have any tea-related pages, but it does have a coffee page, and it's cute to look at. I'd been thinking that the book was from 1970, but it's actually from 1964, so much the better.

    Happy T Day!
