First Blog Post

Hi There - OMGoodness I cannot believe I am finally getting around to having a blog - YiKeS!! Putting myself 'out there' in this manner is so very strange and a bit scary too if I'm honest, but I know I have lots of expreienced blogland friends out there, who will keep me on the right path, I hope.
Sooo, if you feel like saying, "Hey, don't put that there it's ugly" or "Hey that's pretty good" then feel free to leave your comment and I would appreciate your views on whether my layout is easy to use or not.
I don't have word verification, but at the moment I will moderate comments before they are published.
As you can see, this is a bare bones blog at the moment, but I do hope to prettify it and if you can help with that - I'm listening ;)
Thanks for popping by to say "Hi" *hugs*

  6. It's a great start, Twinkle! Way to go. I love the word, Twaddle, by the way. :)

you will note I use my blogger account to leave comments (which has a link back to my dottyhill site and blog there as I can't like to dotty hill in blogger directly. Anyway, it's me.

Also, fyi-- I find that having a word verification is crucial for keeping out spammers that can bring down your site, or worse yet, the host decides its all spam and then closes your account. (happened to a blogger friend I know in Canada). in time you will no doubt want to aturn off moderation to allow people to interact a littel quicker but for years I kept moderation on. It is scary at first but exciting too. Welcome to the online community here. I'm loving your start! Plunge in and express yourself. You are the Queen of your own domain here. Everyone has a unique voice that will resonate with others, no less the CT'ers out there for your CREATIVE TUESDAY pieces. :) Enjoy. Congrats again! :)

    1. Hurrah, you found me! (Not that I left any crumb trails you understand), and I knew it was you, even in your cunning disguise ;)
Thank you for popping by and I'm glad you like the word Twaddle. So do I :)

There are varying opinions on word verification aren't there; I very much doubt I'll be swamped with so many comments that I struggle to filter out the spam, but I shall see how it all goes and can change if necessary.

I will let everyone know when my box arrives! ((grin))

    2. the trouble with not having word verification is there are spammer "robots" that can take hostage your site with comments and end up getting you shut down, so do keep that in mind too.
