I like the blocking effect in the background, very clever.
Yes masking tape is a bit of a b....r, if you do the pants trick above, it is easy to peel off, but then maybe the paint gets under it. I'm sure there is an answer somewhere.
Have I done anything new recently, paintwise? I must say, I do too, ;) lol
A couple folk have suggested tapping the tape onto my clothes before using it, as that will remove more tack. Worth a try huh.
Doesn't the warping paper drive you nuts? It does me, lol
MoTwinkleToes2dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07848604298196551253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7260983945672567058.post-23302472344150028182015-11-05T23:21:25.293+00:002015-11-05T23:21:25.293+00:00Hi Denise

I bet it dried quickly in Brunei.
A couple folk have suggested tapping the tape onto my clothes before using it, as that will remove more tack. You are one of the most amazing artists I know!
Thank you for the tape tip; someone else suggested that too, so I will definitely try it next time.
Huge hugs, back to you! xoxTwinkleToes2dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07848604298196551253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7260983945672567058.post-58067176288383369812015-11-05T22:35:54.510+00:002015-11-05T22:35:54.510+00:00Great job Mo. I never tape my paper down for that reason.Carol Rigbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00345128330586224856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7260983945672567058.post-22352621955062012182015-11-05T22:28:05.330+00:002015-11-05T22:28:05.330+00:00Phew... it's taken me some time to get to you ...Phew... it's taken me some time to get to you Mo, but I'm here at last. Firstly, I must say how fantastic your new header looks. I love it.
As for the little foray with the acrylics... well the results are great so a foray certainly works for you.
I use a masking tape that I've had for years and years. It's a beige colour and has a fabric feel to it. I can't tell you what its called because it's from my silk painting days back in Brunei.
But even though I've got the tape, I rarely use it. It's not until I'm in the process of painting and the paper starts to warp that I remember.
Neesiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08629847485174945501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7260983945672567058.post-91117825269266745342015-11-05T20:55:38.418+00:002015-11-05T20:55:38.418+00:00Wow, wow, wow Mo, both pears are just amazing, I l...Wow, wow, wow Mo, both pears are just amazing, I love them both - lots! Brilliant work! I do use low tack tape too but I always tap it on my trousers first to take off some of the 'stick' and it seems to work OK but I only use it to tape stencils down - I am not a proper artist like you!! Since I can't draw or sketch, I can at least appreciate the beauty of your work. I really like the shading and the depth you created.

I use GREEN low tack tape. I have both blue and green, and I've found the green doesn't lift quite as much as the blue does. Even though it's hard for me, I press the tape very firmly to the substrate before I begin painting. Seems there will always be a tiny bit of seepage or paint removal in the end. However it's far less when I use the green tape.Bleubeard and Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10149710375520733752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7260983945672567058.post-80134047613141038542015-11-05T11:50:41.811+00:002015-11-05T11:50:41.811+00:00Love your pears, I eat one nearly every day.
